When I read about the 78-foot alligator bonfire that was built in Garyville, Louisiana, I insisted that our family see it. Christmas Eve bonfires are part of a tradition that Cajuns like to call “lighting a way for Papa Noel.” Hundreds gathered for the lighting and cheered as the alligator lit up the night. Have a wonderful holiday and Happy New Year!!
